Did you ever thought about being part of Church Ministries?

We are a non-denominational congregation. While we do not have an obligation to any agency, or denomination, we do have a friendship with over 10,000 other independent churches world-wide.

We want you to feel connected at FCMI Church! That happens as you get to know the people and the staff at the church but, beyond that, it happens as you find your place to serve the Lord and make a difference in the lives of others. We have many ministries in the church that exist to serve those who attend our church, but they also provide ways in which you can be a part of serving others.

These important ministries include:

You have the gift of Evangelizm? You can help our Disciple Ministry.

People with the spiritual gift of evangelism have a knack for talking to people about their Christian faith and bringing people to Christ. Those with this gift tend to hang out outside the church talking to non-Christians. They are strong in their own faith, and feel compassion and a desire to see others have what they have in Jesus. The most well-known evangelist was Jesus.

Ephesians 4:11-13 - "Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

You sing or play music instruments, how about Music Ministry?

The role music plays in developing and growing the ministry cannot be overstated. This is because the worship experience is not only about hearing a message from a minister or learning a new interpretation of a scripture—a complete and fulfilling worship experience involves community building, bonding, and creating atmosphere through physical vibration as only music can.

Music and worship have been inextricably tied for thousands of years and the love affair continues to this day. Imagining church without music is like imagining a rodeo without horses or an orchestra without a string section.

Psalm 150:1-6 "Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!"

How about Prayer Ministry?

Effectiveness in Prayer Requires Personal Relationship. If prayer is going to be real and meaningful to people, then you must help them understand that prayer is . . . .

  • more than attending a meeting. -- It is connecting with their heavenly Father.
  • more than a programmed event or activity. -- It is coming into the presence of the almighty God.
  • more than a Christian discipline. -- It is communicating with a living and personal God.

Remember in Luke 11:1-4 when one of the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He said to them, "When you pray, say: 'Our Father ...'." Jesus was teaching the personal and intimate nature of prayer.

Make our prayer meetings or prayer efforts about relationship, not merely praying requests. Words are shallow and meaningless when there is no sense of connection. When God Himself is the main attraction, you won't need gimmicks or arm-twisting to keep people coming.

You have connection with the teens and young ones? You belong to Youth Ministry?

Simply put, Youth Ministry is the Church's efforts to help each & every young person grow personally & spiritually.

The purpose of the Youth Ministry program is to prepare students for effective ministry to middle high, senior high, or college students and their families within the context of a local church or a parachurch organization.

Training young people to lead the cause of Christ, and apply Christianity to every area of life is what "youth ministry" is about. If we don't know that, the kids won't either.

  • Youth ministry is more than programs and events.
  • Youth Ministry is every effort by the Christian community to reach out to the youth with the love of God as revealed to us in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Youth Ministry is a means for both junior high and high school students to grow as individuals while exploring ideas, values, and faith within the context of a supportive community of peers and adults.
  • Youth Ministry is a church-wide ministry which strives to provide a variety of opportunities and experiences to draw teens into active, responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the faith community and the greater church
  • Youth Ministry is designed to help spiritually train and equip teens in a fun and Godly atmosphere to the Glory of God.
  • Youth ministry is the Church in its pastoral concern, reaching out to young people to embrace their gifts and to walk with them in their process of becoming all they can be.
  • Youth Ministry is fun, faith, and friends, usually with a little food added to keep our engines going!
  • Youth Ministry is a series of programs and activities to give young people a chance to participate in Church life, develop their own faith and spirituality, and discover new friendships.

You love kids? Children Ministry is definitely for you.

Probably the most convincing argument why targeting children's ministry for evangelism can be the most effective is research on the probability of people accepting Jesus Christ as their savior for a lifetime relationship. Research by George Barna and the Barna Institute of over 1,000 adults in May 2001 puts the probability at

  • 32% for children between 5 and 13 years old,
  • 4% for children between 14 and 18, and
  • 6% for people 19 years and older.

In other words, attracting younger children to a church to learn about the Love of God will have 5 to 8 times the impact of attracting the same number of older children or adults. Barna's research on faith development and discipleship also found that the moral development of children is complete by age 9.

Creating a conversation and greeting is your expertise? Welcome to Ushers and Greeters Ministry

Psalm 84:10 - "For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness."

First Corinthians 12:28 refers to Greeters as the ministry of helps. We help the Pastor fulfill the vision God has given him by making those who come through the doors of the church feel at home. Our responsibility is to help all who come to worship feel joy, sincerity, importance, peace and comfort when they enter the doors of the church. It is so important that we help everyone feel welcomed. The Word of God calls us an ambassador of the Most High God to His people. This means that we are His spokespersons on Earth. It is essential to understand as a Greeter, we are the first persons that visitors and members see when they enter the church door, we have to always show the love of Christ. It is our responsibility to let visitors and members know that we humbly appreciate them fellowshipping with us. We are committed to ensuring guest that guest are served, that their needs and concerns are met, and that they feel the joy of the Lord upon entering our Worship Service.

The Usher Ministry serves as the church doorkeepers to ensure that worshippers feel welcome and assist the Pastor by maintaining reverence and order so members and visitors may receive the message.
